Acquired: Capicciotti was selected in the second round (14th overall) by the Eskimos in the 2012 CFL Canadian Draft. He signed as a free agent on June 3, 2012.

2012: (Edmonton) In 10 games (one start), Capicciotti registered six defensive tackles and four special teams tackles. He left the Sept. 22 game against the B.C. Lions early with an injury. He played in the Eastern Division semifinal and recorded one special teams tackle. He was on the injured list for games in Week 3, Week 8, Week 10 and Weeks 13-14 and on the reserve list for Weeks 4-5 and Week 11.

College/Personal: In 2011 Capicciotti was named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Co-Defensive player of the year, after finishing third in the GNAC conference with 10 sacks and was among the top-10 in total tackles with 66. Capicciotti is the first Simon Fraser University player taken by the Eskimos since wide receiver James Gardner in 1991 (eighth round) and runningback Sean Millington in 1990 (first round).
