2012: (Edmonton) Ricks started the season on the 1-Game Injured List and was a reserve player in Weeks 4-5. He was placed on the practice roster prior to Week 6.

College/Personal: Ricks was a standout at Stillman College where he posted 108 tackles, seven interceptions and 13 pass breakups in 20 games over two seasons. As a junior he ranked third on the team in touchdowns with four despite playing on the defensive side of the ball (two interception returns and two fumble returns).  He also starred on the Stillman track team. He transferred to Stillman from Northeast Mississippi College where he spent two years (2005–2006) and was a two-time All-State selection. He has played at both cornerback and safety. Ricks had a standout prep career at R.A. Hubbard High School in Courtland, AL where, as a senior, recorded 1,900 yards of total offense and led the state of Alabama with 16 interceptions. He also played on the basketball team.
