Profile: Jason Tucker

Jason Tucker
Receivers

One of the most prolific pass catchers in Eskimo history, Jason Tucker moved into coaching last year after suffering a fractured neck in 2008 which cut short his playing career.  The four-time CFL and West All-Star and 2003 Grey Cup MVP finished with 7,046 yards receiving, fourth on the Eskimo all-time list, in his seven-year playing career with the Green and Gold.

In his first year of coaching, the Eskimos saw one of the strongest receiving corps in recent years emerge lead by Fred Stamps who caught 85 passes for a league-leading 1,402 yards and eight touchdowns.  Fred was named a 2009 CFL All-Star and was the Eskimo nominee for Most Outstanding Player.

Jason and his wife, Giesla, reside in Burleson, Texas during the off-season with their four daughters Jaelyn (9), Kendhal (6), London (4) and Micah (2).
