Today, the Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announced the signing of import wide receiver Nicholas Edwards, import cornerback Domonique Johnson and import defensive back Desmond Marrow.

Nicholas Edwards
Wide Receiver (import)
College: Eastern Washington
Born: Dec. 23, 1989 – Tacoma, WA
Height: 6.03
Weight: 204

In four seasons at Eastern Washington University (2009-12), Edwards recorded 215 receptions (fourth all time at EWU) for 2,634 yards and 33 touchdowns. As a junior, his 95 receptions for 1,250 yards set a school record.  He was college teammates with Eskimos middle linebacker JC Sherritt and quarterback Matt Nichols. 

Edwards spent time with Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks.

Domonique Johnson
Cornerback (import)
College: Jackson State
Born: Nov. 7, 1985 – Texas City, TX
Height: 6.01
Weight: 191

In two seasons at Jackson State (2007-08), Johnson recorded 66 defensive tackles and 10 interceptions. He also returned five kickoffs for 120 yards. Johnson was named a second-team All-America selection by the Associated Press and was a first-team All-Southwestern Athletic Conference selection as a senior.

Johnson spent time with several NFL teams, most recently the Detroit Lions.

Desmond Marrow
Defensive Back (import)
Born: Dec. 28, 1987 – Youngstown, OH
College: Toledo
Height: 6.03
Weight: 208

At the University of Toledo, Marrow recorded 204 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, six interceptions, 29 knockdowns and two forced fumbles.  In 2011, he earned First Team All-MAC honours after leading the team with 83 tackles, intercepting three passes and ranking second in the conference with 14 pass breakups.

Marrow spent time with the Houston Texans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
